The IndoGlobal Group of Companies has forayed into rural entrepreneurship through their latest business enterprise - The IndoGlobal Foundation. The Foundation aims to tap the potential and nurture the aspirations of the largely ignored rural masses.

Objectives of the IndoGlobal Foundation

The IndoGlobal Foundation has been primarily set up to meet two objectives:

• Promote rural entrepreneurship
• Increase risk-taking capacity in entrepreneurs

The Foundation intends to offer venture capital funding to deserving entrepreneurs in the rural sector. A major proportion of the start-up capital will be offered by the Foundation during the growth phase in return for a percentage stake in the rural initiative. In order to instil accountability and credibility to the project, the Foundation expects the rural entrepreneur to invest a small percentage of the initial capital.

The Foundation thus aims to encourage and support workable ideas in rural India and turn them into profitable businesses.
